Experiential Learning for All (ELA) ($548,791.90 funds a three year pilot study)

ELA stands for Experiential Learning for All.  It is a Christ-centered experiential learning curriculum designed for grades K-8.  In a nutshell, the program consists of:

  • Eighteen ELAs (Experiential Learning Activities) from grades K-8—An ELA is essentially an expanded and enhanced field trip which has been designed to 1) Show students how classroom learning connects to everyday life, 2) fulfill and enhance specific learning objectives in the written curriculum of the school, 3) expose students to real world situations or experiences that they may have little chance of experiencing otherwise, and 4) help students to build a greater appreciation and understanding of the way Christ uses us in his kingdom.
  • A “Teacher Preparatory Kit” for each ELA to help the classroom teacher connect the ELA with the classroom/school curriculum
  • A detailed, organized system of pre/post cognitive and affective assessments to help measure student ability and achievement

ELA is designed to include ALL students regardless of race, gender, age, or socioeconomic status.  It is a program that could be implemented in any grade school setting.  With further research and development, the program could be used with high school, college, and graduate students in any and all school systems.

If you have any questions about the ELA program, please contact Mr. Luke Hartzell or Dr. Scott Gostchock anytime!

LACE has “partnered” with GOLDSTAR Trust Company to offer IRA investments.
The IRA funds are invested in LACE certificates to provide funds for church loan projects.
......................................................................................
LACE began in 1960 when a group of pastors and laymen came up with a way for self-supporting churches to finance their building projects by use of member investments. LACE certificates were purchased by investors and the funds were then loaned to the church. Both investors and the church benefited. Investors earned a fair rate of interest on their certificate loans and the church received a lower interest rate on their loan than they may have received from a local bank.

While things have changed in the past 46 years, LACE still depends on member investments to assist in providing loans to WELS and ELS churches throughout the United States. Our mission remains the same: To provide capital funds at low interest rates to WELS and ELS congregations and affiliated organizations.

LACE is located in Saginaw, MI. Please contact our office with questions regarding a loan, or investing with LACE. We will be happy to speak with you and mail you our latest Offering Circular and any other information we have available.
